Based on best practices for accessibility and findings from our own research, we designed a series of tip sheets to help support people aging with disabilities.
- Making an Accessible Word Document: This tip sheet provides recommendations for making an word document that is accessible for screen readers.
- Making Volunteering More Inclusive for People with Disabilities: We interviewed older adults with long-term sensory and mobility disabilities about the challenges they experience with volunteering. Based on these findings, this tip sheet provides solutions to make volunteering more inclusive.
- Self-Report Questions to Assess Hearing Loss among Older Adults: Based on our experience conducing research with late-deafened older adults, we provide recommendations for descriptive, self-report measures to assess hearing loss among older adults.
